Chef Maurizio Bufi – Ristorante Il Fagiano, Grand Hotel Fasano

Originally from Molfetta, in Puglia, Maurizio Bufi is a chef deeply connected to the sea, but for over a decade he has chosen to dedicate himself to Lake Garda, where he currently serves as Executive Chef of Il Fagiano restaurant at the prestigious Grand Hotel Fasano & Villa Principe in Gardone Riviera.

After gaining experience in Switzerland, he arrived in Gargnano in 2008 to oversee the opening of Lefay Resort & Spa, marking the beginning of his strong bond with the Lake Garda region. In 2012, he moved to Villa Giulia, where, as Executive Chef, he earned his first Michelin Star in 2017, thanks to a cuisine that blends elegance, technique, and deep respect for raw ingredients. He remained there until October 2021, when he was invited to join the Grand Hotel Fasano.

In his current role, Bufi masterfully leads the culinary direction of Il Fagiano, which was awarded a Michelin Star in 2024. In addition to the gourmet dinner service, he also oversees the hotel’s breakfast offerings, ensuring every detail contributes to a complete, elegant, and memorable guest experience.
