Chef Luca Marchini – Ristorante L’Erba del Re

Luca Marchini, originally from Tuscany, grew up in Modena. He has embraced Emilian culture and culinary experimentation as both a lifestyle and a professional journey— evolving continuously for over 20 years.

After gaining solid experience in Michelin-starred and gourmet restaurants in Italy and abroad, he opened L’Erba del Re in 2003. His cuisine is dedicated to rediscovering Emilian tradition, reinterpreting Italian gastronomy, and developing new food concepts based on balance, respect for raw ingredients, enhancement of personal expression, and careful selection of techniques. His vision is increasingly broad, drawing inspiration from international culinary influences.

Recognized by several prestigious guides, he was awarded a Michelin star in 2008, a distinction he continues to honor with unwavering dedication and a forward-looking approach.
