THE CHEFS
Karime Lopez
Born and raised in Mexico, Karime López‘s arrival at the helm of Gucci Osteria Florence is the latest stage in a dynamic and meaningful culinary voyage. Hers is a truly personal journey that began when a young Karime discovered the playful language of food as she closely observed her mother cook the family meals as a child. From there, her passion for food flourished and led her to work in some of the most prestigious kitchens all over the world, from Spain, to Mexico, Peru, and Japan, before finally landing at Gucci Osteria Florence in 2018.
Takahiko Kondo
Born in Japan, Takahiko ‘Taka’ Kondo began his culinary journey in high school, cooking at home. Inspired by food shows on television, he taught himself the basics and then delved into experimentation. Taka’s interest in art and fashion led him to make the natural move to Italy in 2000, followed by a pivotal meeting with Massimo Bottura who recognized his combination of passion and precision mixed with a creative and inquisitive approach to food. He then began his 17-year tenure at Massimo Bottura’s three-Michelin-star Osteria Francescana in Modena, where he was appointed sous-chef in 2014. In 2022, he became Co-Executive Chef of the Michelin-starred Gucci Osteria Florence, alongside Karime López.

GUIDED TOUR OF TEATRO SOCIALE “G. BUSCA” IN ALBA
The Teatro Sociale is one of the most beautiful and historically rich cultural facilities in the city of Alba
It is well-known and kind of unique throughout Europe for its “double” structure, consisting of a historic 19th-century “horseshoe-shaped” hall, a modern hall with stalls and gallery, and a stage located right in the middle.
