World Alba White Truffle Auction

ON STAGE NOVEMBER 9 AT GRINZANE CAVOUR CASTLE: THE SOLIDARITY EVENT PROMOTED BY THE REGIONAL WINE SHOP “ENOTECA REGIONALE PIEMONTESE CAVOUR”.

The World Alba White Truffle Auction returns to the evocative setting of Grinzane Cavour Castle for its 26th edition.

The undisputed star of the event will be the Alba White Truffle, accompanied by the prestigious wines of the Langhe, Roero, and Monferrato regions: an exceptional pairing that showcases the unique food and wine culture of the area on an international stage.

For twenty-five editions, the Auction has been synonymous with solidarity. From Italy to the rest of the world, the charitable message that accompanies the region’s specialties has helped support numerous philanthropic initiatives. Since 1999, over €7.2 million has been raised thanks to the generosity of philanthropists, Michelin-starred chefs, and renowned figures from the worlds of culture, entertainment, politics, and the international jet set.

This year as well, the most prized lots of Tuber magnatum Picco will be auctioned, paired with large-format bottles of the finest wines from producers belonging to the Barolo Barbaresco Alba Langhe and Dogliani Protection Consortium, with live connections to major global cities.

The event is organised by Enoteca Regionale Piemontese Cavour (Regional Wine Shop), thanks to the invaluable support of Regione Piemonte, dell’Enit – Agenzia Nazionale Italiana del Turismo, Ente Turismo Langhe Monferrato Roero, the International Alba White Truffle Fair, the National Centre for the Study of Truffles and Ordine dei Cavalieri del Tartufo e dei Vini di Alba

Castle of Grinzane Cavour

Built in the middle of the 11th century on top of a hill, the Castle of Grinzane Cavour overlooks, with its beauty and unmistakable architecture, the breathtaking landscape of the Langa hills. Over the centuries, the castle has belonged to various noble Piedmontese families, including the Counts Benso di Cavour, whose most famous exponent was Camillo Benso, a famous hero of the Italian Risorgimento, who lived at the castle and was mayor of the small village of Grinzane. Like a real treasure chest, the castle will be open to offer visitors the precious treasures it holds, as they explore the Museum of the Langhe, the charming historical rooms, the valuable Cavour relics and the Enoteca Regionale Piemontese (the Regional wine shop).
