CHEF ANDREA BERTON – RISTORANTE BERTON<i class='michelin-red-star'></i>

Andrea Berton, born in Friuli in 1970, is one of the most prominent figures in contemporary Italian gastronomy. His career began in Milan in the kitchen brigade of Gualtiero Marchesi on Via Bonvesin de la Riva, and continued in some of the world’s top restaurants, including Mossiman’s in London, Enoteca Pinchiorri in Florence, and the Louis XV in Monte Carlo under Alain Ducasse.

In 1997, he became head chef at Taverna di Colloredo di Monte Albano, where he earned his first Michelin Star. After this milestone, he returned to work with Marchesi as Executive Chef of the group. From 2005, he led the Trussardi alla Scala restaurant in Milan, where he was awarded one Michelin Star in 2008 and a second in 2009, along with other major accolades such as the Three Forks from Gambero Rosso and Three Hats from L’Espresso.

In 2013, he opened Ristorante Berton in Milan, where he presents a modern, essential, and recognizable cuisine, with a strong focus on core ingredients. A signature element of his menu is broth, elevated to a main course and used to express the essence of each dish. Less than a year after opening, in November 2014, the restaurant received one Michelin Star, which it continues to hold.

Today, Berton leads his eponymous restaurant and is involved in high-level consulting and hospitality projects, maintaining a distinctive style that blends technical precision, elegance, and innovation.
