Alessandro Mecca<\/strong>, born in 1984 in Turin and awarded a Michelin Star in 2018, is currently at the helm of the restaurant housed in the historic Castello di Grinzane Cavour, home to the Regional Wine Cellar of Piedmont. Since 2023, alongside his business partner Marco Ceresa, he has embarked on a new culinary journey that blends the grandeur of the castle with a classically rooted cuisine interpreted through a contemporary lens.<\/p>\n

His culinary style, inspired by the great Italian masters, is described as a \u201ccuisine of gesture, made with love and beauty.\u201d Deeply anchored in Piedmontese and Langhe traditions, his cooking embraces modern techniques and creative expression. The medieval setting of the castle, overlooking the rolling Langhe hills, provides the perfect stage for a cuisine that celebrates the territory with elegance and authenticity.
\nA chef by heritage, Mecca began his career in his family\u2019s historic Turin restaurant, \u201cCrocetta,\u201d before honing his skills in renowned kitchens such as \u201cL\u2019Estate di San Martino,\u201d \u201cGuido da Costigliole,\u201d \u201cAl Sorriso,\u201d \u201cLa Ciau del Tornavento,\u201d and the acclaimed \u201cD.O.M.\u201d in S\u00e3o Paulo under Alex Atala. Prior to his current role, he led the kitchen at \u201cSpazio7\u201d within the Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Foundation in Turin for seven years, establishing himself as one of the city\u2019s most refined culinary voices.<\/p>\n
